“Muu-Muu’s Big House Salad rivals Justa Pasta’s for my favorite lunch in town. Both succeed so well because the ingredients are high quality and the construction is simple...Maybe I love this salad because its big enough for a meal, or maybe it’s because I always order their amazing creamy garlic green beans with it, but regardless, it rules.”

This is one Curiously sexy bar. Boom-boom tunes. Dark corners. Deep pours. The dapper, be-speckled young fellow behind the bar is hand down, one of the best bartenders I’ve encountered in this fair city. Boy muddles like it ain’t no thing. And keeps the lady’s water glass full. Very important if you want to avoid le hangover. Excellent spot for a date,. Had my date actually showed up, I would have been keen to play kiss kiss in one of the booths. So..Also a great place to get stood-up.
                                 (I’ll cut you jerkface!)

“I had heard from the folks over at Portland Hamburgers that Muu-Muu’s had a pretty unique burger, and seeing as how they have never let me down, I couldn’t resist. So, this place kicks ass for lunch and I can only imagine that it rocks for dinner and after hour cocktails as well. So as far as the burger goes, its on a baguette with all of your normal burger condiments and it also has a boat load of fries stuffed into it. Sounds good? hell yea its good...!” --Portland Food and Ink/July 2008

“Freakin’ sweet... This is by far the best bar I’ve been to in Portland, there are ALWAYS hot girls. Drinks are strong and low priced. Parking blows but your going there to drink and hopefully not to drive home. If you have any conversation skills this is THE place to find girls, this place makes it so easy.”

It was delicious, and after six $6 drinks and two dinners, our bill was $61. It was a deal. At least in my opinion. I am Jewish, I know a deal...” --Lanny B./YELP

“If you’re looking for a comfy neighborhood spot to listen to some good music, drink some good alcohol, and eat some good food, check this place out...their meals are hearty and comforting like you would expect form your favorite neighborhood diner, but have flair and flavor fused to spice up the average american bar food you might expect to find. The seared tuna is excellent, the spicy beef salad is delicious, or if you’re more in a burger and fries type of mood get a Muu-Muu’s burger...You can also call and order for take-out if you just have a craving and don’t want to stay. If you love brunch like I do, check this place out on the weekends. Its great. It gets busy here on any given day or night, so you may not always get the most attentive service, but the staff is always really friendly and pretty good about trying to keep an eye out for you.”

“More often than not, neighborhood hot spots as busy as Muu’Muu’s seem content with merely pouring strong cocktails and letting the level of the food fall below the importance of customer flirting. But Muu-Muu’s provides tasty, well-proportioned plates, served by quick hands in a fun forever-Friday atmosphere.” --Oregonian CHEAP EATS 2005
“Whither Muu-Muu’s, In the very heart of the NW 23rd beast, they managed {to avoid} the bachelorette party squealing for oh so long. With servers far from servile, design elements subtly incorporating a Tiki element with dark wood bar and booths, tasteful indie soundtracks, an enlightened wine list and lightly tweaked comfort cuisine, (ground beef AND fries are shoved into baguettes for the house burger), the whole enterprise seemed an evolutionary step forward, like 22nd century Northwest or San Francisco.”

“One time when I was lunching at Muu-Muu’s, I pointed to the server and said, ‘Can I get the blue cheese crumbles on my salad, not the dressing?’ And he said, “Don’t you ever fucking point at me!” Then he calmly placed my order. For some reason, this interaction-- the delicious food--has endeared me to Muu-Muu’s forever. The servers are straight up, they make a great drink, the bar is dark, hip and filled with hot people, and if you and a date hit it off here, you can head straight next door and see a movie at Cinema 21 while you sober up. Note: If your date is tanking, make sure you order the amazing creamy garlic green beans, thus making damn sure you won’t be doing any deep tonguing.”

While there wasn't an empty seat in the house, the overall vibe I got from Muu- Muu's was a bit more relaxed and quiet, than other nearby spots.”
